July 5, 2021 - ZCMC received 17 patients who were injured after an Air Force plane overshot the runway at the Jolo Airport and crashed Sunday July 4, 2021. Currently, two (2) are intubated and in critical condition, three (3) sustained fractures and the rest are admitted at the Burn Unit. The top management immediately activated its multi-specialty team to attend to the injured military personnel. It has also converted its Birthing Clinic to a Burn Unit to accommodate 14 more of the plane crash victims. - Public Affairs and Customer Care Unit- ZCMC
