The Zamboanga City Medical Center receives "SPECIAL AWARD FOR VOLUNTEERISM" from Department of Health Health-Health Emergency Management Staff last January 28, 2014 during the 7th Convention on Health Emergency Management at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Clark, Pampanga.

This special award was recognized to ZCMC for its indefatigable efforts to establish a competent, proactive and reliable cadre of volunteers from all sectors in the community to support its hospital's mandate of guaranteeing the provision of topnotch and timely health emergency medical services in times of emergencies and disasters.
