The Zamboanga City Medical Center (ZCMC) and the entire Zamboanga Peninsula recently welcomed Dr. Daniel Mark Yumol, the first Adult Hematologist Consultant in its Medical Specialist roster. Aside from being the only adult hematologists at ZCMC, he is also the only such specialist in the entire region.

Dr. Yumol finished his fellowship at the UP-PGH Section of Adult Hematology last June 30, 2018. Prior to his fellowship Dr. Yumol finished his residency training in Internal Medicine at the Zamboanga City Medical Center as Chief Resident. With his return, the ZCMC will be better prepared to care for Adults with blood cancers and conditions like Anemia, Leukemia, Lymphomas, Myeloproliferative and Lymphoproliferative diseases among others.
